Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 July 2026

These terms govern your use of the GigUp mobile app and this website (together, "GigUp", "the service"). By creating an account or using GigUp, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. This is a legal agreement between you and us; please also read our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

1. Who can use GigUp

You must be at least 16 years old to use GigUp. By using the service you confirm you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.

2. Your licence to use GigUp

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use GigUp for its intended purpose — discovering live music events and connecting with other attendees. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, scrape, or build a competing service from GigUp, or use it in any way that breaks the law or these terms.

3. Content you post

You keep ownership of the content you create — messages, profile details, photos, posts, comments, and Crowds ("your content"). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute your content solely to operate and provide the service (for example, showing your post to the people it's meant for). You're responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it.

4. Community rules & acceptable use

You agree not to use GigUp to create, upload, share, or promote content that:

  • is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes anyone's rights;
  • harasses, bullies, threatens, or impersonates another person;
  • is hateful or discriminatory, or incites violence or self-harm;
  • is sexually explicit, pornographic, or exploits or endangers minors;
  • is spam, a scam, or otherwise deceptive; or
  • contains malware or attempts to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service.

You also agree not to harvest other users' data or use GigUp to send unsolicited marketing.

5. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on GigUp. Content that breaches the rules in section 4 is not allowed and may be removed, and accounts responsible for it may be suspended or terminated. To keep the community safe, GigUp provides tools to report content or users and to block anyone you don't want to interact with. We aim to review reports of objectionable content and act on them — including removing content and ejecting the users responsible — within 24 hours.

To report abuse or objectionable content, use the in-app report and block tools, or contact us at hello@gigup.live.

6. Reporting, moderation, and enforcement

We may review, moderate, remove, or restrict content and accounts that breach these terms, at our discretion and without prior notice where necessary to protect users or comply with the law. Reporting a user or piece of content does not guarantee a specific outcome, but we take every report seriously.

7. Suspension & termination

You can stop using GigUp and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or other users, or use the service in a way that harms it. Where reasonable and lawful, we'll let you know why.

8. Third-party services and events

GigUp shows event listings and information sourced from third parties such as Ticketmaster, MusicBrainz, and TheAudioDB. We don't organise, sell tickets to, or control these events, and we're not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or for anything that happens at an event. Ticket purchases and attendance are between you and the relevant provider or organiser.

9. Disclaimers

GigUp is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it reliable, but we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is accurate. You use the service, and connect with other people, at your own risk — use common sense and normal caution when meeting anyone in person.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from other users' conduct or content, third-party events, or your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to the service and these terms

We may update, add to, or discontinue parts of GigUp, and we may change these terms. If we make material changes we'll update the date above and ask you to accept the new terms in the app. Continuing to use GigUp after changes take effect means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer law says otherwise.
